Sidenote: I only noticed this morning that this post did not go out on Hallowen Morning, as i thought I had scheduled it. OOPS! So let’s just pretend I dont have porridge brain, that I am not sleep deprived and actually got it right! Hmm, k? Thanks! 😉

It has to be said that trying to organize a Halloween party, as a breastfeeding mother of a newborn, is something else. I mean, this is not my first rodeo, cowboy – in respect of both kids and the Halloween sense. But put a little bit of a) and b) together, and it makes for an interesting little juggling act. But driven by passion for these kind of things, or pure madness (dumbness??)- whichever you feel is appropriate – we just about pulled it off.

Once upon a time, a very pregnant me, sat in October counting down the weeks to the expected date of a certain little girl’s arrival…slightly panicked by the fact that she may indeed arrive right on Halloween. Now, whilst this may seem like no biggy to you, but for lil’ ol’ me who’s slightly nutty about the fun that is Halloween, I was doing my best not to seem like a selfish little kid not wanting to share my toys. I mean, I love birthdays (my favourite!) AND I totally Love Halloween too (another favourite!)..But having it smashed together? Well, wouldn’t that just mean dilution of the fun?!

If you haven’t heard yet, we’re in Halloween season, folks. Meaning, the parties are lining up, and you’re going to need a decent costume! So as you may have come to realise from my some of blog posts that, whilst Halloween is not too big in South Africa (yet), it certainly is big in our house. Granted I may be the source of it all- in fact, I may be just a leeeeetle bit like Claire (Modern Family) about Halloween…
