Will this be the year I do my shopping early? Probably not – why would I want to pass up on that rush of adrenaline that surges through my body as I remember on Christmas eve morning that Santa is yet to scratch off a few names from his list. Whilst I used to love the rush (and the bustle) of December shopping, now as a mama of many I feel like there’s just a lot more going on that needs my attention, and I’d like to make this a more calm festive season with lesss rushing. Its absolutely no secret we go straight stupid about our holidays in this home, and when it comes to the mother of all holidays, Christmas, we go into full freak mode. Finally! I’m getting to show a little festive love on my blog again. It’s been a hectic time with my -what feels like an abrupt- return to work from maternity leave, wedged in between what also felt like an endless string of school performances, prize-givings and commitments. All of which has me feeling quite thin on the sleep and patience stakes, but oh so “tank full” on the mothering and pride side of things.Because, let’s be honest, as much as I moan about how exhausting this all is, I love this stuff. You, guys!!!…I made my own Gingerbread house! From scratch! Like…wow! Ok, maybe not SO wow for you, but for me? It’s a big deal.
