Gifts for the tweens or older kids, I find are starting to straddle the line of easy gifting and really, really hard gifting. Because a) quite a few of the top toy trends are still very likely enjoyed by the tweens, but they are also expanding their interests to expand into their very unique likes and more teen-esque interests.
So if you’re looking for some ideas, I got you. These are taken both from top trends as shared with me by the toys research experts within Toys R Us and my own tweens who make no bones about what they’d love Santa to put under their tree.
Hopefully this will help you, if not inspire you for more ideas:
1. Instax – In a home where you have a mother who’s loved taking pix since she was little, you’re bound to start loving photography as well!;) And the instax cameras brings a different kind of fun to it all.
2. Nintendo Switch This has been on their wishlist for the longest time, and is sure to get many kids smiling ear to ear all year! Also so awesome if travelling. Great for one player but converts into 2 players as well if need be. And THATS why we love it. Or find it here
3. GAMES FOR Nintendo Switch – Cant have the one without the other, and this one would for sure be the first one we’d get for our kids!
4. Trampoline – this is actually for younger kids too, as Coco has been begging for this. This is a great way to keep em busy and active!
5. Cable holders Allll the cabling of all the tech the kids of today now sit with, make that these holders are handygifts . AND super cute! Would make great stocking stuff as well.
6. Poppit bag – its Poppit everything really, but these bags are sure to be a favourite suprise under the tree. Morgy asked me for a bunch of poppits this year, so hopefully Santa will hear her requests.
7. IncoHEARent – ok, guys. So between this game and the other freaking AMAZING family game I have listed on the small kids gift guide over here, this is really SUCH a fun game for a friends games night, or after dinner games, or for family game night. Its brilliant, but definitely more for older kids upwards. Also dont make the mistake I did by buying the adult version, and then trying to play it with the kids!! #dismalFailure (LOL. We just stay away from the naughty red section those nights!)
And there ya go, Santa! 😉
