The boy’s name is…

Our son finally has his full name. I know, maybe it’s weird to you that he only got his name a good few days after he arrived. Or maybe not…but definitely not the norm for us… But there we were cuddling our fresh newborn when the midwife asked for his full name and Mike and I both stammered,and giggled to each other as we realised we hadn’t finalized our decision yet.

So when lots of you were asking me on social media what his name was and what was the meaning, it wasn’t like I was trying to be all secretive…it was purely cause we hadn’t come to peace with his final full name.

The boy’s name is Remy-James LeBeau Porter

A mouthful? Maybe. But I love it. And it fits him so well.

We really didn’t want it to be cheesy, and we also didn’t want it to be fluffly and empty.,.but it’s a name we love and after eventually coming to an agreement on what it should be and having met this beautiful boy now face to face, we believe he was meant to have this name…even if we do get a giggle out of it sometimes. (Will explain another time)

Now as for where did we get the name? And it’s meaning? Anyone want to take a guess on its origins? If you know about my lesser spoken about hobbies and interests you’d know exactly where part of his name came from… (Family and close friends can’t answer – that’d be cheating!)

Anyhoo…boy has a name – actually finalised on the Friday after he was born, we just never had the chance to share it with you….Also a very tired daddy made a slip up on his name at home affairs and now he has to go back and fix it. (Shame)…So technically it’s not official-offcial..but it is for us. Nd that’s all that counts, right? Just go with it!

Now next up, we need to sort out how we shall transport all these children of ours! Hello, #vanlife! (And you have say “hashtag van life” anytime we now refer to a car big enough for us. Those are the rules!

So, Aside from tending to my newborn, this #vanlife has been my other baby I’ve been tending to…and the paperwork alone has damn near killed me. But thankfully Mikey has been running with most of it….so fingers crossed it all works out!
