If there is ever a more jovial time in our household, it would have to be come bathtime! It’s like it has this incredibly neutralizing abilty to wash away the last stresses of the day, and bring with it a wave of happiness and freshness. Granted, the jovial levels do hit dangerously high levels that threaten mom and dad’s sanity at times, but the former couldn’t be more true in the case of our little Coconut’s bath time! This little one is nuts about the water, splashing me and the floor till we are drenched. In fact, she’s so into it all, that she doesn’t even care about any hair washing drama that’s going on the top of her head – which is perfect for me.
Also, I don’t know about you, even though we still have to limit bath time and the water we use due to the drought, there’s still nothing quite as magical as bath time with kids. Especially hair washing days – even in the midst of the odd tantrammy clash when tired little minds meet very(super) tired parent body AND minds. But I insist it’s still magic, because, somehow it suspends and then rewinds time…just a little bit…For when their hair is wet and slicked back, leaving only just that squishy cheeks & baby face staring back at you, and a mess of drippy eye lashes with cherub like baby lips that can barely contain their chompers…I cant help but marvel at them; At how they are mine, and at just how little they truly still are.
Not to mention how delicate their skin is, and how important it is that we take extra care of how we look after of it. All of this has us carefully considering the products we use on them. Since having Morgan-Lee, we have tried & trialed many different products, and there have been a few favourites along the way, some still remain firm favourites. But I’ve got to say that I was still on the lookout for a shampoo that worked well with all three my girls’ hair. Morgan has extremely thick and heavy hair, Parker has thin, but easily tangled hair, while Yuriko-Mae has wispy hair, but with that sensitive baby scalp. So, one brand that we recently tried since the addition of Yuriko-Mae and loved was Pure Beginnings, and have now come out with a brand new Conditioning Shampoo to add to their range.
And I mean, I love it because it gently cleans their hair easily (no struggle), it is easy to rinse out (less tears and panic) and doesn’t seem to burn any little eyes, and, oh my goodness, smells lovely! Oh, and I don’t know about you, but combing out their damp hair post wash is a breeze, which makes my life (AND dad’s) a little alot easier and my blood pressure more stable! Also, I love even more that their products are natural and safe, allowing us to take as many baths as we please without worrying about harmful chemicals or hidden ingredients.
As in, their products don’t use any chemical disinfectants, and are free of petrolatum, mineral oil (or ANY petrochemical derived ingredients), as well as free of parabens, aluminium, fluoride, and basically free of a whole bunch of baddies. (see here for the full list of what they include and what they dont) Also, they dont do testing on animals – high five!
Yes, their products are not cheap, but that’s because you’re not going to find sub par ingredients here folks, nor a bunch of crap that’s just harmful for your little’s (or your own) skin! It’s also not one of those it’s-envouge- and-thus-now-unneccesarily-over-priced kind of products – nope, you’re paying for quality and a safety assurance…and just a bloody good product.
Previously, we’ve only tried out a few of their products, but our awesome friends at Pure Beginings let us try their latest releases, the Conditioning Shampoo (the current star of their show that I mentioned above), and their Berry Flavoured toothpaste – which has Parker wanting to brush her teeth every chance she gets in the day! (Seriously, I had to get them to stop “taste-testing” the paste after the initial introduction.)
Now, because I absolutely love their latest Conditioning shampoo, and am super pleased by the easy-to-manage and glossy haired results in my girls, not to mention their awesomely flavoured toothpaste, I would love for YOU, as a loyal reader to also get to try it! So, thanks to the lovely Pure Beginnings team, one lucky reader will not only get to try their super star conditioning shampoo and toothpaste, but a sweet little hamper with a few of their other products included too!
So that’s a pack of Pure Beginnings wipes, Kids Fun Time Bubble Bath AND their latest release the Conditioning Shampoo and the irresistable-to-kids toothpaste all in one sweet hamper for you!

Would love to win the toothpaste. Finding a safe toothpaste for baby’s beginning days of brushing her teeth hasn’t been easy. With the natural ones being so expensive this would be amazing.
